Interpersonal Communication
Academic major: B.S. in Interpersonal Communication
Minor: Interpersonal Communication
Do you like to watch people? Are you intrigued by how people use eye contact, touch, or personal space to communicate? Do you ever wonder why some marriages last and others end? Have you ever considered why conflict is productive in some relationships and destructive in others? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then the study of interpersonal communication is for you.
Interpersonal communication is the study of how people relate to each other in friendships, families, romance, church, and work. If you are interested in the development of listening, empathy, trust, influence, conflict management, verbal and nonverbal communication in a Christ-centered community, consider majoring in a B. S. in Interpersonal Communication at Trevecca Nazarene University. These “people skills” make you a stronger communicator in every aspect of your life.
