MISSION STATEMENT:
OUR MISSION IS TO STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE IN OUR MUSIC, IN OUR CHARACTER, AND IN OUR ACTIONS.

Excellence in Music: We want to provide a representation of Christ to our listeners through our preparedness and meticulous musicianship, as well as through our passion for the music.

Excellence in Character: We want to provide a representation of TNU as a Christian institution through our Christian witness.

Excellence in Action: We want to provide a positive representation of Madrigalians by modeling servant leadership within the group and throughout the campus.

The 24-voice ensemble is composed of undergraduate students from throughout the United States, possessing varied academic interests with a common love and passion for excellence in a cappella singing.

In addition to numerous church and civic performances, the “Mads” perform in two major events each year: Serenade in Time Series, Opus 22, a joint concert with the Trevecca Symphony Orchestra in the fall, and the spring Madrigal Dinners.

The “Mads” have toured extensively throughout the United States and also have an international focus as they recently conducted singing tours to the British Isles, France and Germany in 1997; Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and France in 1999; Italy, Austria, Germany, France and Great Britain in 2002, and again to Italy, Austria, Germany, France, and Great Britain in 2005.
