Tina Haynes, MT-BC, LCAT is a board certified music therapist and a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist. She has over 33 years experience in music therapy and is currently employed by the VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN. Her undergraduate degree in music therapy was earned at Arizona State University and she is a candidate for a master's in music therapy from Colorado State University with a specialty in Neurologic Music Therapy. She also has specialty training in the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music
Tina has served as President of the Tennessee Association for Music Therapy and the Southeastern Region of the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA). She has served as co-chair of the Ethics Board for AMTA and chair of the Exam Committee for the Certification Board for Music Therapists. She has also served as National Chairperson for the VA National Creative Arts Festival. She serves as a technical advisor and program director for the Center for American Military Music Opportunities.
Tina has been married to her husband, Ron, for over 30 years. They are members of 1st Baptist Church in Shelbyville, TN where she plays piano in the praise and worship band.
