Science & Mathematics

The Department of Science and Mathematics at Trevecca Nazarene University offers programs in biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. Through partnerships with local universities, the department also offers nursing, medical technology, and 3-2 engineering programs.

The department’s highly qualified faculty is committed to student success both inside and outside the classroom. Participating with faculty, majors in this department gain valuable research and classroom experiences in many diverse areas such as near-space research, cancer biology, urban ecology, magnetic imaging, mathematical biology, graph theory, and Euclidean and non-Euclidian geometry.  In addition to their work at Trevecca, these students attend national conferences, conduct research, engage in field work, and participate in internships. Interdisciplinary programs encourage these students to engage in learning across disciplines while gaining a deeper understanding of their chosen major. After graduation, many Trevecca math and science graduates are accepted to highly competitive graduate programs and medical schools.

If you are interested in pursuing a degree in the sciences, mathematics, or engineering,  consider joining a dynamic and growing group of students and faculty at Trevecca in this department.
