Welcome to the Department of Information Technology. With more than four decades of industry experience, our faculty is committed to delivering the highest standard of education with the greatest attention to detail and student satisfaction in a Christ-centered environment.
Trevecca offers many exciting degrees in the areas of technology. For students seeking to advance their career in IT management, we offer an MBA with courses focusing on skills needed to manage today’s complex IT environments. For students looking for a traditional four-year University experience, Trevecca offers a wide range of degrees, including information technology, Web development, specialized computing, and graphic design and multimedia. In addition, for those working adults seeking to finish their bachelor’s degree, Trevecca offers accelerated degree- completion programs in both computer information technology and healthcare information technology.
Mission Statement
The Trevecca Institute of Computer Information Technology provides education in information technology to prepare students for careers of excellence that glorify and honor God through stewardship, leadership, and service.
Objectives
- Provide students a state-of-the-art information technology program with content that matches the best programs in the country.
- Establish and maintain a program that meets the accreditation criteria set forth by the ACM Special Interest Group for Information Technology Educators (SIGITE).
- Assist students to acquire skills in the four key information technology domains of software development, databases, networks, and web technologies in both mainframe and client/server environments.
- Provide education that is rigorous and challenging to the students and motivates them to excel.
- Prepare students to successfully enter the field of their choice.
Learning Outcomes

Highlights
HIGHLIGHTS:
- 100% of the 2011 graduates of Trevecca’s IT degree-completion program passed the ISA certification exam. Each year the Institute for Certification of Computing Professionals (ICCP) administers the Information Systems Analysts (ISA) Exam to hundreds of university students and IT professionals around the world. This rigorous and comprehensive exam assesses the Information technology skills, knowledge, organization and professional skills, and strategic organizational systems development of IT professionals.
This outstanding pass rate for the 2011 graduating class affirmed the quality of the instruction and training in this new IT program.
