Ed.D. Leadership & Professional Practice
The Ed.D. (Doctorate in Education) is designed for you, a full-time working professional. In three years, you will complete your course work and dissertation by attending classes approximately one Saturday a month during the school year and participating in a nine-day residency each summer. You will be part of a cohort of others, like you, who desire to grow professionally, personally, and academically.
Objectives of the Ed.D. program:
- To explore new insights and greater understanding rather than rehash old ideas;
- To provide new confidence and competence rather than simply more information;
- To develop actionable and tested leadership strategies rather than untested opinions;
- To grapple with global diversity and ethical questions rather than accept placid answers;
- To lead toward professional transformation rather than just another advanced degree; and
- To produce practical and substantial research that you can use in your career today.
