MAT Transition License

Transitionally Licensed teachers must complete a minimum of one year (200 days) of successful teaching. During that time, all district evaluations must be favorable. The university provides a mentor for the teacher during the entire first year. The school system completes all formal evaluations as the transition teacher has been hired by the school as a teacher of record. If university requirements are not met, the transition teacher must drop from the program and discuss resignation with the school system.
