Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather, a decision regarding changes in class schedules will be made by the dean by noon on Friday for Friday evening classes and by 6:00 a.m. on Saturdays for Saturday classes.  The notice will be posted to the School of Education website by 6:00 a.m. on Saturdays.  The address for the website is www.trevecca.edu/soe   Classes may be canceled or start times may be delayed. In some cases, students may be expected to participate in an online class according to instructions provided by the professor.

On the first day of class, faculty will share the inclement weather procedure with the class and should get the telephone number of the class representative and take it home in order to call the class representative once the decision has posted to the website. Once the class representative has been contacted, the rep should begin the calling chain to the cohort members.

If a student is located in an area where s/he believes her/his safety is in jeopardy, we expect the student to make a wise decision to stay at home.
