Institutional Scholarships

In order to be considered for institutional scholarships, students should complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid as early as possible. The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. and Trevecca's school code is 003526.

Athletic Scholarships
Scholarships for intercollegiate athletics are awarded to students based on athletic ability and skill. Applications for this type of assistance should be made to the athletic department.

Music, Radio, and Education Awards
A limited number of awards are made annually to music, radio, and education students upon recommendation of the music department, the director of radio broadcasting, and the education department.

Student Government
Awards are made to officers of the student government and the editors of student publications.

Nazarene Youth International District Scholarships
Nazarene Youth International Funds are provided by some districts and/or district N.Y.I. organizations of the Southeast Educational Zone to assist needy and qualified students who attend Trevecca from their respective districts. Conditions under which these scholarships are awarded may be obtained by corresponding with the student’s district superintendent or N.Y.I. president.

Church Matching Scholarship
An undergraduate student who is enrolled at Trevecca full time may be eligible for a Church Matching Scholarship.

For Nazarene churches on our Region who have paid their Education Budget, TNU will match 2-to-1 any amount the local church sends in for their students up to a $500 check.  So a student may receive up to $500 from the local church and TNU will add up to $1,000 to make it up to a $1,500 Church Match Scholarship.

For Nazarene churches on our Region who have not paid their Education Budget, TNU will match 1-to-1 any amount the local church sends in for their students up to a $500 check.  So a student may receive up to $500 from the local church and TNU will add up to $500 to make it up to a $1,000 Church Match Scholarship.

For Nazarene churches not on our Region, TNU will match 1-to-1 any amount the local church sends in for their students up to a $500 check.  So a student may receive up to $500 from the local church and TNU will add up to $500 to make it up to a $1,000 Church Match Scholarship.

For non-Nazarene churches, TNU will match 1-to-1 any amount the local church sends in for their students up to a $500 check.  So a student may receive up to $500 from the local church and TNU will add up to $500 to make it up to a $1,000 Church Match Scholarship.

The Church Match Scholarship can be awarded once per year up to 4 years. The check must be from the local church and be sent to the Financial Aid Office at Trevecca Nazarene University, including student's name.


PK/MK Scholarship
An award of $6000 annually ($3000 per semester) for up to eight semesters of undergraduate classes through age 23 will be granted to children of pastors, evangelists, and missionaries. Recipients must be Nazarenes and must take a full academic load (minimum of twelve hours). Pastors, associates/staff members, and evangelists must be full-time or the largest part of their service must be given to the church. Missionaries must be in full-time service in the Church of the Nazarene anywhere around the world.

Endowed Scholarships
The number and the actual amount of each of the following scholarships awarded are based on available funds. Scholarships are awarded based on full-time enrollment. Scholarship applications are available in February of each year, and awards are made in April for the next academic year. It is important to apply early and prior to the deadline in order to be considered for one of these scholarships.

Trevecca Grant
Trevecca grants are awarded to first time students by the Admissions Office. This scholarship is available for four years or up to the number of hours need to complete a degree.
