1:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Orientation Sign-in and Check-in at the Residence Hall
- Sign-in anytime during these hours with the Office of Admissions in Boone Business Building, Convocation Center. Pick up orientation notebook and name badge.
- Check-in anytime during these hours at the lobby of your designated orientation residence hall (Johnson Hall – Women; Benson Hall – Men; Tennessee Hall – Parents).
1:00 p.m. ACT test
- The ACT is administered in the academic support center located in the lower level of Waggoner Library. Reservations required.
1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Transfer Placement Testing
- Placement Testing is administered in the academic support center located in the lower level of Waggoner Library.
- Any transfer applicant who has not previously completed and passed a college math and/or English composition course at another institution should submit official ACT/SAT scores for placement at TNU. If scores are not submitted, placement testing will be required PRIOR to pre-registration.
2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Music Auditions
- Sign-up all day for an audition for one or more musical ensembles within the division of music during the day on Thursday or early on Friday in the lobby of the Wakefield Fine Arts Building.
4:00 p.m. Trojan Talk - Intercollegiate Athletic Meeting
- This informational meeting is for all prospective athletes and their parents. TNU’s Athletic Director will be discussing athletic participation requirements including insurance and physicals. Coaches will be introduced. A Q&A session will follow. Waggoner Library, Quick Lecture Hall
6:00 p.m. Trevecca Inside Out
- Visit with TNU faculty, student government, clubs and organizations. Boone Business Building, Convocation Center
7:00 p.m. Welcome to Trevecca Nazarene University
- This event will serve as an official introduction and welcome to the Trevecca campus community, featuring a greeting from TNU president, Dr. Dan Boone.
8:30 p.m. Get Out There and Meet Somebody
- New students will enjoy this opportunity to mix and mingle with new and current TNU students in a relaxing atmosphere with music, and get-acquainted activities all around campus.

9:00 a.m. Introduction to Campus Life
- During this session students and parents will meet student development personnel, student leaders, and the University chaplain. You’ll also hear about campus technology services and procedures as well as the variety of services provided by our career and counseling center. Boone Business Building, Convocation Center
11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Music Auditions

- Transfer students will have an opportunity to meet current TNU students for a Q&A session in the Boone Business Building, Room 115.
2:00 p.m. Parent Session - Who R These Kids?
- This workshop is designed to help you understand the differences between you and your son or daughter, the differences that sometimes leave you asking, “Who is this kid?” Jernigan Student Center, Apple Dining Room.
3:00 p.m. Tag Your It - Downtown Nashville
- Transfer students will enjoy an afternoon of laser tag, a tour of Nashville and dinner off-campus.
3:30 p.m. Cruisin’ the Cumberland – Music City Queen @ Opry Mills
- New students will enjoy an afternoon of fun on the Cumberland River in an old-fashioned paddle-wheel riverboat.
6:00 p.m. Parent Dinner – High Hopes
- All parents have high hopes for their students. This session is one of the highlights of orientation. Dinner will be served during the session in the Boone Business Building, Convocation Center.
6:30 p.m. Freshmen Dinner
- Jernigan Student Center, Apple Dining Room
8:00 p.m. Welcome to the Neighborhood – Residence Hall Sign-Ups
- Finding a roommate and getting a room assignment is always a highly-anticipated event at summer orientation. Getting this item checked off your list is a real bonus for attending the summer session.

8:00 a.m. Introduction to Academic Life – Breakfast will be served
- The Office of Academic Affairs and the Office of Academic Records gives guidance for the process of registering for classes. Breakfast will be served during the session in the Boone Business Building, Convocation Center
9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Registration for Fall Classes
- Students will be directed to meetings according to their area of academic interest. Directions to departmental meetings will be given during the 8:00 a.m. session. Sign-up for an advising appointment.
11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Cafeteria open for Lunch - Jernigan Student Center
