Financial Aid Timeline

Step 1

Make sure you have already completed your application to Trevecca.

Step 2

Once you are admitted, you will receive an initial award letter from Randy Kinder in the Office of Admissions. This will identify what merit-based institutional scholarships you qualify for. Be sure to accept those scholarships by the date on the letter. Visit www.fastweb.com and www.collegeboard.org to seek outside private scholarship opportunities. Remember, you should never pay to receive a scholarship.

Step 3

Submit your $200 enrollment deposit to TNU. This is fully refundable until May 1, 2015. Campus housing is determined on a first-come, first-served basis by order of enrollment deposit.

Step 4

Apply for FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov (include our school code – 003526) as soon as possible after January 1. Need-based aid is awarded in order of FAFSA receipt.

Step 5

If selected for FAFSA verification by the government, complete the Verification Process (early spring 2015). Failure to complete the verification process promptly can result in the loss of need based aid and loans.

Step 6

Beginning in March of 2015, you will receive a final financial aid award packet from the Office of Financial Aid. It will include detailed instructions on next steps.

Step 7

If you or your parents are planning to take out loans, start the process at studentloans.gov. Complete the Loan Authorization Form and email as an attachment to financial_aid@trevecca.edu.
