*Trevecca students participated in city-wide MLK service day - On Saturday, January 18, Trevecca students joined students from Vanderbilt, Belmont, Lipscomb, Fisk, and TSU for the MLK Joint Day of Service. This year was the first time these universities have worked together to give volunteer service in Nashville. More than 300 volunteers were a part of the day.
*Spiritual Deepening Week, Jan. 28-30 The speaker for these special chapel services was Rev. Carla Sunberg, PhD, the newly elected president of Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Mo.
*The Trevecca Association of Business Professionals hosted another networking luncheon on Tuesday, February 11. “Celebrating the Work, Wisdom, and Wit of Women”—featured guest speaker Gina “Gigi” Butler, founder of Gigi’s Cupcakes.
*Trevecca Nazarene University is pleased to announce a new partnership with Blood:Water Mission that will help give clean water in Africa. When a person applies to a Trevecca Adult Studies or graduate program, Trevecca will contribute $5 to Blood:Water Mission. With each of those $5 gifts, Blood:Water Mission will provide clean water for five Africans for one year.
*The J. V. Morsch Center for Social Justice at Trevecca Nazarene University will soon serve the Church of the Nazarene denomination in a new capacity. On January 30, 2014, Nazarene Compassionate Ministries USA/Canada (NCM USA/Canada) invited the Center to lead its program for food security in North America.
