One of the greatest things that we can do as Christians is to be available to help when people find themselves in need.

American Red Cross Shelter Team Training

Saturday, September 8th

8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Location: Quick Lecture Hall (Waggoner Library)

 

In times of disaster, the Red Cross calls to action groups of volunteers to help shelter, feed and clothe those who are in the greatest need. Believing that this work is the work that Christians are called to do, Trevecca is joining together with the Red Cross and the Tennessee District Church of the Nazarene to host Shelter Team Training.  Individuals and churches who are interested in getting volunteering in the event of a disaster should make plans now to attend the event and begin your training as a Red Cross Volunteer.

In addition to this training, there are a few additional requirements to become an official Red Cross Volunteer:

Fill-out the online application

Submit an online background check.

Click on the American Red Cross logo on the right side of the page, then on the black button that says “Request a Background Check”. Click on Tennessee on the map then Nashville Area Chapter and follow the instructions from there.
