ATHENS, Tenn. -  The Trevecca baseball team (2-5) lost a 9-inning road game 9-6 to NAIA No. 12 Tennessee Wesleyan College (2-0).

Tennessee Wesleyan scored three runs in the fourth, six runs in the fifth. TWC scored their nine runs on 11 hits and played errorless ball. Justin Brown started for TWC and was relieved in the fourth by Chris Brownsten (1-0) who picked up the win. Chris McCreery came on in the eighth and Brian Tanguy came in the eighth. Josh Lindstrom was their catcher. Michael Jenkins has a homerun for TWC.

Trevecca scored a run in the fifth, sixth and two in the seventh and eighth. Trevecca's six runs came on seven hits and the team posted two errors. Dean Mitchell (0-1) took the loss. Hunter Norton relieved Mitchell in the fifth and Craig Ballentine served behind the plate. Trevecca's Brad Coon stole another base and now has six in seven games this season. Shawn Cozart drove in two runs for Trevecca with a pair of sacrifice flies.
