NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Trevecca (3-6) hosted Campbellsville University (1-1) on Saturday for a nine inning game at Noon.
The first game saw the Trojans fall behind 2-0 in the fourth inning,
but Bubba Norris hit a 400+ foot blast to straightaway centerfield to
cut the Tiger lead to 2-1. Campbellsville scored four runs in the fifth
inning, building a 6-1 lead, but Trevecca battled back but fell just
short, dropping the game 6-3. Nick Bodnar (0-1) started and took the
loss, with Craig Ballentine handling to catching duties.
Trevecca rebounded in the second game, however, behind the explosive
play of Kyle Jackson. Jackson was 2-2 on the day with a double and a
triple, scoring three runs and drawing a walk. Ballentine again handled
the catching as Barrett Brown (1-1) picked up the win, and Todd Dunlap
(1) had the save as the Trojans downed the Tigers 8-7.
