TIGERVILLE, S.C. – Trevecca (12-7) defeated North Greenville (3-12) in Tigerville, S.C. in a single game 8-5.
Todd Dunlap (3-1) took the mound for the Trojans and Craig Ballentine
worked behind the plate. Dunlap pitched seven innings and allowed just
one earned run while striking out six. Shaun Cozart was 2-5 with two
doubles and an RBI. Brad Coon went 2-5 with a walk and an RBI. Brad
also had four stolen bases, one short of the school record for steals
in a game. Tommy Okano (0-1) was the losing pitcher with Kyle Baron
behind the plate.
Trevecca scored their eight runs on eight hits and committed four
errors. North Greenville scored their five runs on eight hits and had
three errors. Trevecca scored one run in the first and second innings
and added two more in the fourth and three in the sixth and finished
their scoring with a run in the seventh. North Greenville produced a
run in the seventh and posted four in the eight.
