THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Trevecca Trojan baseball team (23-9) ran their latest winning streak to seven games by sweeping a double-header on Friday at Thomas University (12-12).

The first game saw Todd Dunlap take the hill for the Trojans. He threw a complete game giving up five runs, four of them earned, and fanning four as he picked up the win, running his record to 5-2. Robbie Robinson (1-1) took the loss for the Nighthawks. Brad Coon was 3-for-4 in the game with a triple, a stolen base, and 2 RBI. Kyle Jackson added a 3-for-4 performance of his own, knocking a double and driving in four; and Shaun Cozart was 2-for-2 with a double, a walk, and an RBI. Trevecca scored nine runs on 13 hits with one error, while Thomas tallied five runs on 13 hits and committed two errors.

Dean Mitchell (4-1) started and got the win for the Trojans in the second game, tossing a complete game, allowing only one earned run, allowing one walk, and sitting down 10 Nighthawks on strikes. Thomas Buckner (3-2) was saddled with the loss for Thomas. Coon recorded another 3-for-4 performance in game two, hitting a double, stealing a base and knocking in a run; Shaun Cozart was 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored; and Craig Ballentine – who caught both games for the Trojans – was 2-for-4 with two RBI. Trevecca scored eight runs on 14 hits without committing an error, while Thomas scratched across only one run on 11 hits with two errors.
