NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Trevecca (32-11, 6-1) hosted Martin Methodist (11-24, 0-7) at Jackson Field on Friday, with the Trojans outlasting the RedHawks 5-4 in a 15 inning marathon.

Martin Methodist jumped out to an early 3-0 lead against Trevecca Starter Todd Dunlap, but the Trojans rebounded, scoring one in the third, one in the fifth, and two in the seventh to take the lead 4-3, forcing Martin Methodist hurlers Cliff Hardy and Dale Pierce from the game. The RedHawks, however, plated the tying run in the ninth to send the game into extra innings. Randall Henry of Martin Methodist and Nick Bodnar of the Trojans each stifled the opposing offense, until the bottom of the 15th inning, when Bubba Norris came through with his only hit of the day – a game-winning RBI single knocking in Shaun Cozart. Bodnar (7-1) picked up the win while Henry (1-7) took the loss. Brad Coon was 1-for-4 in the day with two walks, two runs, and his 37th stolen base of the season; but the best performance of the day was turned in by Kyle Jackson. Jackson was 4-for-6 in the game with two doubles, a walk, two RBI, and a stolen base. Trevecca scored their five runs on 13 hits while committing two errors, and the RedHawks scored four runs on nine hits without any errors.
