PULASKI, Tenn. – NAIA No. 8 Trevecca (15-4, 1-0) opened conference play
tonight in Pulaski, Tenn. at Martin Methodist (7-11, 0-2) and won 84-61.
The Trojans came out strong taking the early lead and going into half
time ahead 45-31. In the second half Trevecca continued to play well as
they held on to the lead and claimed the 84-61 victory.
Brandon Howard, Jerod Perry, Wesley Poe, and Marcos Salvi each scored
11 points in the game. Brandon Howard led the team in assists with
seven and in steals with five. Josh Helton also added five assists.
Collins Onyando had nine rebounds for the Trojans followed by Eric
Price with seven. The Trojans out-rebounded their opponent 38-33. As a
team Trevecca shot 31-54 (57.4%) from the field, 10-23 (43.5%) from the
3-point line, and 12-15 (80%) from the foul line.
