JACKSON, Tenn. -- Trevecca (9-9, 0-3) traveled to No.16 Union (14-4, 2-1) and fell 75-68 in overtime. The Trojans fought hard in the first half yet shot poorly (8-26, 30.8%) from the field, but were helped out by Union's equally poor shooting (11-32, 34.3%) giving the Bulldogs the lead at the half 27-20.
In the second half, Trevecca came out on a 13-0 run to get back into the game. They held a small lead for much of the second half, but Union tied it late, and Jerod Perry missed a 3 at the buzzer sending the game into overtime.
The Trojans ultimately out-rebounded their opponent 46-45. Wesley Poe led the team in rebounding with 9 and assists with 4, alongside David Stark who also added 9 rebounds and 7 points. Curtis Lewis led the team in scoring shooting 8-19 (42%) from the field and 5-6 at the free throw line with a total of 24 points. Brandon Howard also added 10 points.
Trevecca shot 27-72 (37.5%) from the field, 4-16 (25%) from behind the arc, and 10-18 (55.6%) from the foul line.
