NASHVILLE, Tenn. - NAIA No. 8 Trevecca (174, 30) hosted Freed-Hardeman (8-13, 1-2) tonight and won in overtime 72-66.

The Trojans started out strong gaining the 22-11 lead midway through the first half and kept the lead going into half time ahead 32-24. In the second half Freed went on an 11-0 run taking the 34-35 lead. With less than two minutes left in the game Jerod Perry hit a shot for the Trojans giving them the 60-57 lead. Freed fought back tying the game at 62 to send it into overtime. In overtime Freed took their last lead of the game at 65-64. Trevecca came back to claim the 72-66 victory.

As a team, Trevecca shot 28-62 (45.2%) from the field, 5-23 (21.7%) from behind the arc, and 11-19 (57.9%) from the foul line. Jerod Perry led the Trojans with 25 points and six rebounds. Eric Price added 16 points and seven rebounds while Wesley Poe added 13 points and 12 rebounds.
