MOORE GYM - Trevecca (10-11, 1-5) defeated the Lee University Flames (13-10, 2-4) Thursday night in a TranSouth Conference match up at Moore Gymnasium. Lee took an early 16-14 lead but the Trojans went on 35-8 run and led by as much as 27 points with a minute and a half to go in the first half. At halftime, the Trojans owned a 51-26 lead. The second half saw Lee cut the lead to 12 points with 3:25 left in the game, but Trevecca engineered an 8-2 run and claimed their first TranSouth Conference victory 96-79. Trojan junior Wesley Poe led all scoring with 29 points while junior Eric Price came off the bench to tally his fourth double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Curtis Lewis added 18 points while Brandon Howard scored 16 and Rob Garrett added 14 points. As a team, the Trojans hit 32 of 52 (61.5%) from the field and shot 50% from the three point line. Michael Stringer led the Flames with 24 points.
