MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Trevecca (11-11, 2-5) visited Berry College (5-20, 3-4) to take on the Vikings. Berry had to forfeit 10 wins earlier this season due to the play of an ineligible player prior to the conference season.
In the first half the Trojans came out strong going on an 18-4 run and taking the lead 29-12. The team shot 60.6% from the field in the first half and went into halftime ahead 45-37.
In the second half the Trojans fought and kept their lead. Berry stayed within 10 points but couldn't handle Trevecca's defense. Late in the second half Berry cut the lead to 6 points but it wasn't enough as the Trojans went on to win their first road game of the season 92-85.
Curtis Lewis led the team in scoring with 26 points and 5 assists. Wes Poe earned his fifth double-double of the year with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Brandon Howard and Robert Garrett both had 10 points while Lee Pardue added 14 points.
Overall the Trojans shot 34-53 (64.2%) from the field, 6-9 (66.7%) from the 3-point line, and 18-26 (69.2%) from the foul line.
