CLEVELAND,
Tenn. – Trevecca (2-0) took on the Wesley College Warriors (0-2) today
and produced and impressive 120-37 in Lee University (Cleveland, Tenn.)
Holiday Inn Shootout.
During
the first half the Trojans scored 22 of their points on the fast break.
Eric Price scored 16 points and senior Brandon Howard added 13 to give
the Trojans 74-20 halftime lead.
Freshmen
Collins Onyondo led the team with 18 points and 4 rebounds. Sophomore
Lee Pardue scored 14 points and had 3 rebounds, and Marcos Salvi had 10
points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals. Every player wearing a Trojan uniform
added points to the final score of 120-37 against Wesley College
(Miss.).
As
a team, Trevecca shot72% (54 of 75) from the field and broke the Trojan
record of 68.1% from the field which was set in 1987-88. The team shot
41.2% (7 of 17) from beyond the three point line, and 71.4% (5 of 7)
from the free throw line. Wesley College shot 25% (14 of 56) from the
field, 14.3% (4 of 28) from the three point line, and 62.5% (5 of 8)
from the free throw line.
Senior
Eric Price's earned all-tournament honors after posting 37 points (17
of 22), grabbing 12 rebound, dishing out four assists, a block, and two
steals.
Trevecca
(2-0) will take on Urbana University (0-0) for Homecoming on November
5th at 8 pm. All games will be broadcast over 89.1 and 91.5 WNAZ FM.
