OLATHE, Kansas – Trevecca (4-0) traveled to Olathe, Kansas to play in the MidAmerica Nazarene University Tournament. On Friday Trevecca defeated the host team and NAIA Division II No. 9 MidAmerica Nazarene (3-1) 69-55. Trevecca leads the all-time series 7-4 with MidAmerica. Trevecca led 28-26 at the half.

Eric Price led Trevecca with 14 points and eight rebounds. Wes Poe added 11 points and seven rebounds. Brandon Howard scored 12 rebounds, grabbed five rebounds, dished out four assists and snagged four steals. Collins Onyando netted six points and grabbed eight rebounds.

 Trevecca hit 25 of 62 (40.3%) from the field, 2 of 14 (14.3%) from three point range, and 17 of 26 (65.4%) from the foul line. MidAmerica won the battle of the boards 45-37. The Pioneers hit 21-49 (42.9%), 2 of 12 (16.7%) from three point range, and 10 of 19 (52.6%) from the foul line.

 MidAmerica beat Trevecca 76-67 one year ago in the same tournament.

 On Saturday Trevecca will face Benedictine College (2-2) at 3 p.m., (The men’s radio broadcast on Saturday will be delayed till 5 p.m. on WNAZ). The next home game is Tuesday, November 16 against Campbellsville at 7 p.m.
