OLATHE, Kansas – Trevecca (5-0) defeated Benedictine College (2-3) in the MidAmerica Nazarene Pioneer Classic 78-56.

Jerrod Perry led Trevecca with 27 points and added five rebound, three steals, and three assists. Perry hit five of 10 three point attempts. Wes Poe had a team high 8 rebounds and added 10 points and two assists. Brandon Howard threatened to produce a triple or quadruple double after contributing a team high 11 assists and adding nine points seven rebounds, and five steals. Josh Helton scored 10 points and  Eric Price added 11 points and six rebounds.

Trevecca hit 32 of 60 (53.3%) from the field, 8 of 21 (38.1%) from three point range, and 6 of 15 (40%) from the foul line. Trevecca 43 total rebounds and limited Benedictine to 29.  Benedictine hit 21 of 58 (36.2%) from the field, 3 of 16 (18.8%) from three point range, and 11 of 15 (73.3%) from the foul line.
