GENTRY CENTER --- The Trojans (4-2) traveled across town to play NCAA Division-1 Tennessee State University (0-0) were playing their first game of the year and their first game under new coach Cy Alexander.

The Trojans came out on fire, shooting a blistering 15-27 (4-8 3 pt.) from the field in the first half and entered the Break with a 37-33 lead.  But in the second half, both Elliot Cowart and Eric Price fouled out and the Trojans lost on a buzzer-beating runner in the lane by TSU's Adrian Pritchett, resulting in a 73-71 loss.  TSU's Bruce Price went down injured and had to leave the game with 6 seconds to go in the second half, after David Stark set a great pick for Curtis Lewis allowing him to tie the game at 71 just before Pritchett's game winner..

For the second game in a row David Stark scored in double figures dropping 14 points, narrowly missing a double-double, falling one rebound short.  Other Trojans in Double Figures were Curtis Lewis (10), Elliot Cowart (11), and Wesley Poe (16).
