MOBILE, Ala. – Trevecca (9-1) faced host Spring Hill College (3-3) in the Spring Hill Classic in Mobile Ala.

Trevecca started slow, falling behind by seven early 15-6, but then the Trojans mounted a 20-2 run taking a  26-17 lead.  Spring Hill rallied, but at the half, it was Trevecca holding the slim 34-31 lead. In the second half, Trevecca continued to struggle on offense, but still managed to hold the lead for most of the frame.  With under two minutes left, Spring hill took the lead for the first time in the half, and the Badgers were able to hold on, handing Trevecca its first loss of the season 58-65.

Three Trojans were in double figures for the game.  Wes Poe and Brandon Howard tied for the team lead with 12 points, and Eric Price chipped in 10 points in the losing effort. Howard led the team in rebounds with 8, assists with 5, and steals with 3.  The Trojans shot 19-53 (35.8%) from the field, 5-21 (23.8%) from behind the arc, and 15-26 (57.7%) from the charity stripe.
