BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – Trevecca (11-1) defeated Olivet Nazarene (3-5)
80-73 on Saturday in the second game of the Holiday Inn Classic
The Trojans kept it close in the first as they only had a four point
lead
at the break 38-34. In the second half, the Trojans started with a 30-9
run that put them up 68-43. The team held off a Olivet rally to take
the 80-73 victory.
Jerod Perry lead Trevecca with 22 points as he shot 6-of-12 from the
field, 3-of-6 from three-point range, and 7-of-8 from the charity
strip. Brandon Howard had a team 10 rebounds, six assists, and five
steals while scoring 12 points. Eric Price added 18 points and Josh
Helton had 13 hitting 3-of-5 three-point range. Wes Poe had nine
rebounds and three blocks. The Trojans hit 28-of-57 (49.1%) from the
field, 7-of-19 (36.8%) from three-point range, and 17-of-22
(77.3%) from the foul line. The Trojans had a total of 32 rebounds.
The Trojans will face Urbana University (1-8) in Urbana, Ohio on Saturday, December 11 at 3 p.m.
