URBANA, Ohio - NAIA No. 6 Trevecca (11-2) visited Urbana University (2-10) on Saturday for their last road contest of 2004.
Trevecca fell behind
early, and trailed at the half, despite Jerod Perry's 18 points and
four three pointers, 45-37. The second half saw the Trojans
attempt to make a comeback late, but it fell just short as the Blue
Knights of Urbana University hung on to win 81-76.
Perry led the Trojans in
scoring with 34 points on 12-of-22 shooting including 7-of-14 from
behind the three-point line. Eric Price (16) and Wes Poe (10)
were also in double figures for the Trojans. Poe led the way with
nine rebounds, while he and Price led the way for the Trojans with
three blocks each. Brandon Howard led the team in assists with
four and steals with three. As a team Trevecca shot 28-of-62
(45.2%) from the floor, 7-of-23 (30.4%) from long range, and 13-of-29
(44.8%) from the foul line.
