CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. --- The Trojans battled Friday night in the Campbellsville Classic against host team Campbellsville College.

Three overtime periods saw the Trojans and Tigers battle on the court Friday night as both teams remained deadlocked most of the game. The Trojans took a 36-33 lead into halftime and began to pull away in the second half mounting a nine point lead with 12:00 left in the game. Campbellsville, however, fought back with a 16-3 run led by Travis Wright's 34 points including five three pointers to take the lead with 9:00 left in regulation. The Trojans answered as senior Curtis Lewis drained a three pointer with one second left to tie the score at 66-66 and send the game into overtime.

The first overtime period saw the Trojans lead by as much as nine points, but a late Tiger rally tied the game at 76-76 when the clock expired for the second time sending the game into a second overtime.

The first double overtime period in six years saw Trevecca once again jump out to an early lead, but Campbellsville refused to quit and tied the game at the end as the buzzer sounded with the score knotted 83-83.

The third overtime finally claimed a winner as the Tigers of Campbellsville mounted a five point lead and never looked back taking the triple overtime win 95-90.

Five Trojans finished scoring in double figures and three tallied double-doubles. Senior Curtis Lewis led Trevecca with 26 points including six three pointers. Wesley Poe (14 points, 19 rebounds), Brandon Howard (14 points, 14 rebounds), and Eric Price (21 points, 12 rebounds) each tallied double-doubles while freshman Elliot Cowart added 11 points and six rebounds.

As a team, Trevecca shot 34 of 82 (41.5%) from the field, 9 of 30 (30%) from the three point line, and 13 of 23 (56.5%) from the free throw line.

Trevecca falls to 5-5 on the season while Campbellsville improves to 7-4 overall.
