NASHVILLE, Tenn. - NAIA No. 20 Trevecca (4-4) traveled to Shorter College (6-3) in Rome, Ga., looking to even their record on the season.

In the first half, Trevecca jumped out to and early lead, but Shorter answered with a 13-2 run, pulling out to a one point lead at 25-24, but the Trojans rebounded taking a 28-27 lead in at the half. As the second half opened, the Trojans mounted a 13-2 run of their own, blowing the game wide open, and at the 12:31 mark, Trevecca held the lead 41-29. From there, the teams battled fairly evenly for the rest of the game, with Trevecca getting the win 61-46.

Ashlie Gilland and Jana Reed led the Lady Trojans with 16 points, and Kristen Scoggins hit three 3-point field goals and netted 11 points. Reed was 6-7 from the field, 4-4 from the foul line, and grabbed 5 rebounds. As a team, Trevecca shot 45.7% from the field, 43.8 % from behind the three-point line, and 100% (12-12) from the charity stripe.
