The 2004-05 season for the Trevecca Trojan men’s golf team consisted of 10 tournaments, with five in the fall and another five during the spring portion of the schedule. The season opened with the Trevecca Fall invitational in November, where the Trojans set single day and two day records as they finished second, posting a second day 295 as a team, and a two day total of 593. Trojan sophomore David King finished in a third place tie shooting a 144.
Trevecca then traveled to the Cleveland State Invitational, finishing ninth out of 14 teams, posting a team score of 633, then the Trojans posted a fourth place finish (out of six teams) in the Freed-Hardeman Chick-fil-A Invitational with a team score of 656. Trevecca then went to Memphis, Tennessee and the Colonial Country Club for the Christian Brothers Tournament, where the Trojans finished seventh place, and for the second time on the year, having a top ten individual finisher. Robbie Wilson finished ninth, shooting a 153. The final event of the fall was the President’s Cup with Freed-Hardeman University. The Trojans won the event 8.5 to 7.5.
The spring portion of the schedule opened at Saddle Creek Golf Club at the RedHawk Invitational, finishing fifth out of seven teams in the event. The event was shortened to 27 holes, and the Trojans posted a score 505. Next, Trevecca went to the North Alabama Invitational. The Trojans finished seventh, shooting a 673 as a team. In the final tune-up before the TranSouth Tournament, the Trojans participated in the Freed-Hardeman Chik-fil-A Spring Invitational. Trevecca placed fifth as a team, in a tie with Union University, shooting 644, and David King placed in a fifth place tie individually with a score of 155.
The Trojans hosted the TranSouth Conference tournament at the Hermitage Golf Club, with the Trojans finishing fifth as a team, posting a 637 score. David King earned All-Conference honors, as he placed fourth with a two day score of 149. The finish earned the Trojans a place in the NAIA Region XI tournament, where Trevecca placed ninth with a three day total of 992. King again led the Trojans with a 13th place finish individually.
