NIOTA, Tenn. – Trevecca’s men’s golf
team finished the Cleveland State Invitational with a overall team
score of (307-326) 633 at the Springbrook Country Club in Niota, Tenn.
on Monday and Tuesday. The first day total of 307 placed the team in
8th place (of 14) overall. The two-day total of 633 placed the team 9th
overall for the tournament.
There were 69 total golfers and Trevecca’s top finisher was Edward Yu
with a (74-78) 152. That placed him in 23rd place overall. Yu was tied
for 14th overall after the opening round 74. The rest of the Trojans
scores were David King 43rd (76-83) 159, Rob Wilson 46th (79-81) 160,
Brent Crow 54th (81-84) 165, and Adam Lawson 56th (78-92) 170.
Cleveland State won the tournament with a team total of 564 and were
followed by Georgia Military Academy with a 591. Individually Holton
Freeman of Cleveland State was the medalist with a (67-72) 139.
Next up for Trevecca is the Freed-Hardeman Chik-Fil-A Collegiate
Invitational at the Bear Trace at Ross Creek Landing in Clifton, Tenn.
on October 25-26, 2004.
Trevecca will finish their fall season at the Christian Brothers
Tournament at the Colonial Country Club in Memphis, Tenn. on November
1-2.
