BARDSTOWN, Ky. – The Trevecca women’s
golf team played in the Campbellsville University Invitational on
Monday at the Maywood Country Club in Bardstown, Ky. Trevecca finished
second as a team and Trojan Mindy Seigenthaler finished in a tie for
second individually and teammate Noel Moffett finished as a medalist as
well. The teams played in miserable conditions that included wind gust
up to 30 M.P.H. and a wind chill in the 40’s.
Lindsey Wilson College captured the title with a team total of 367,
Trevecca was second with a 379. The other three teams competing were
Bethel College, Tenn. (386), Cumberland College, Ky. (403), and
Campbellsville University, Ky. (437).
Individually Jenni Kieffer of Cumberland College was the medalist with
a 85. Tied for second with a 87 were Trevecca’s Mindy Seigenthaler and
Charley Calvert of Bethel College. Trevecca’s Noel Moffett also made
the all-tournament team finishing fifth with a 89. Trevecca’s other
golfers were Kristi Gearhart (93), Meredith Watkins (110), and Jenny
Mercer (113).
The team will play in the very competitive Embry-Riddle Eagle
Invitational March 14-15 at the Indigo Lakes Golf Course in Daytona
Beach, Fla
