CLIFTON, Tenn. –Trevecca’s women’s golf team claimed the overall championship of the 2004 Freed-Hardeman’s Chik-Fil-A Collegiate Invitational. The tournament was played at the Bear Trace at Ross Creek Landing. Trevecca’s Noel Moffett (Poway, Calif.) took the medalist honors with a tournament best (85-86) 171. Teammate Mindy Seigenthaler (Franklin, Tenn.) finished second with a (92-84) 176. Three teams and 17 individuals competed in the tournament.

As a team Trevecca shot a tournament best (371-361) 732. Host Freed-Hardeman finished second with a (398-401) 799 and Bethel College placed third with a (390-411) 801. The rest of the Trojans finished with the following scores; (7th) Kristi Gearhart (97-94) 191, (8th) Britnay Murray (97-97) 194, Jenny Mercer (115-112) 227.

The FHU Invitational was the final fall tournament for the women’s team. The Ladies return to action in April of 2005.
