(ROME, GA) - Day 1: The women's golf team finished the first day of the Berry College Invitational at the Coosa Country Club in Rome, Georgia a team score of 348. It's the third time in as many rounds the ladies team has broken the 1-day school record. This is the third year for women's golf at Trevecca. Prior to this season the team had never produced a one day total lower than 385. In the opening round of last week's Freed-Hardeman Tournament the ladies pasted a 1-day total of 375 break the mark. The following day they shattered the mark with a 356. Those two rounds combined to produced the programs best 2-day total with a 731. The previous best two day total was 771 one year ago at the Berry Invitational. Day 2: The team posted a score of 357 on day two which was good enough to give them 4th (out of 6) teams. Their 2-day tournament total of 348-357 (705) is another school record for a 2-day total. Shorter College and Berry College (both NAIA National Tournament qualifiers last year) finished atop the standings with 342-328 (670) and 339-334 (673) respectively. Individually Mindy Seigenthaler finished 7th (out of 35) with a 82-87 (169). Noel Moffett finished 9th with a 84-87 (171). Jennifer Armstrong finished 13th with a 90-91 (181). Deanna Doty and Kristi Gearhart posted a 95-92 (187) and 92-95 (187) respectively. Leigh Anne Hunter was the tournament medalist with a 80-76 (156).
