Trinity finished the season 32-12, and the pitching staff led the conference in team ERA, strikeouts, and opponent batting average.
Childress mentored the 2005 conference pitcher of the year. He was also responsible for placing eight Trinity players into NCAA Sanctioned Summer Leagues, and spearheaded fundraising efforts that generated over $25,000 for the program.
