OAKLAND CITY, Ind. – The Trevecca women’s soccer team (1-4-1, 0-1)
completed the Oakland City tournament in Oakland City, Ind. against
Asbury College (5-3) Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 Trojan win.
Only 1:47 into the first half, Trevecca sophomore Loni Osegueda put the
Trojans ahead with a goal on a pass from freshman Courtney Haas.
Trevecca took the 1-0 lead at halftime but didn’t stop there. The
second half saw junior Kelsey Shockey dish out two assists as Heather
Barber and Loni Osegueda each recorded a goal for the 3-0 win. Trevecca
goal keepers Kim Terry and Casey Thornton combined for the shutout
victory, each playing one half in net while Asbury’s Alyssa Parker took
the loss in goal.
