NASHVILLE, Tenn. – NAIA No. 15 Trevecca (25-0) took two games from
Bethel College (Tenn.)
(8-13-1) at Trojan Field. The Trojans shutout Bethel 6-0 in the first and doubled
up the Tigers 8-4 in the second.
In game one Trevecca
scored one in the first inning, four in the fourth and one in the sixth to take
the 6-0 victory. Hollie Shane (17-0) was the winner on the mound and Maria
Trapani was the receiver. Jamie Toomey pitched the final two innings in relief.
Trevecca’s Brandy Miller was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two stolen bases
and Lindsey Howard had a two run home run. Maegan Morris (3-8) took the loss
with Danielle Courville behind the plate.
In game two Trevecca
scored two in the first and the second inning, one in the third, two in fourth
and one in the sixth. Bethel scored a run in the third and
three in the seventh. Trevecca won the game 8-4. Jennifer Perkins (7-0) was the
winning pitcher for the Trojans. Hollie Shane pitched the fifth inning and
Perkins returned in the seventh. Evyn Terry caught the first six inning and
Maria Trapani reliever her in the seventh. Paige Cooper (4-5) took the loss for
Bethel and Danielle Courville caught
game two as well. Evyn Terry provided the offense with a 3-for-4 night at the
plate with a double, two runs scored and three RBI.
