Trevecca (30-3) went to Reinhardt College (14-35) in Waleska, Georgia
on Friday for a double-header with the Trojans winning both games.
Hollie Shane started the first game, throwing the first four innings
before being relieved by Jennifer Perkins in the fifth. Shane, however,
came back in to finish the fifth and threw the rest of the game,
picking up the win and moving her record to 21-1. Ashley Bramwell
(8-15) took the loss for Reinhardt, as the Trojans scored six runs in
the second inning, one in the third, and one in the fifth, all off of
Bramwell. Reinhardt scored two runs in the second inning, two more in
the fifth, and one in the seventh as the Trojans held on for the win
8-5. Lindsey Howard was 2-for-2 in the game with a home run (3), two
runs, and an RBI; and Maria Trapani was 2-for-3 with a run and two RBI.
Trevecca scored eight runs on eight hits while committing two errors,
while Reinhardt scored five runs on 10 hits and committed three errors.
Shane started the second game for the Trojans as well, but was relieved
by Jami Toomey in the second. Toomey lasted two and a third innings
before Shane (22-1) re-entered in the fourth and pitched the final four
and a third innings earning the win. Krista Lester started the game for
Reinhardt and pitched the first six innings, with Bramwell coming in
for the seventh and eighth innings. Reinhardt took a two run lead with
a pair of runs in the fourth inning, but Trevecca chipped away with a
run in the fifth before tying the game with a run in the seventh. The
Trojans kept the momentum for the extra frame, scoring five runs off
Bramwell (8-16) in the eighth and handing her the loss. Laura Redmon
was 2-for-2 with her fifth home run of the season and two RBI, Ashley
McCool was 2-for-5, and Lindsey Howard was 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Trevecca scored seven runs on 10 hits with one error, and Reinhardt
scored two runs on six hits with two errors.
