HENDERSON, Tenn. - NAIA No. 15 Trevecca (34-5, 11-5) visited Freed Hardeman (21-13, 11-5) today and split the double-header.

In the first game both teams remained scoreless until the top of the fourth inning when the Trojans scored the only two runs of the game giving Trevecca the 2-0 victory. Hollie Shane (26-2) took the win for the Trojans on the mound with Maria Trapani and Lindsey Howard taking turns behind the plate.

Lindsey Howard batted 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI. Jami Toomey also batted 2-for-3 with a run scored. The Trojans scored their two runs on six hits while committing no errors. Freed had five hits and an error.

In the second game Freed took the quick lead scoring five runs in the first inning. Trevecca scored two runs in the third and another in the sixth, but Freed answered with two more runs in the bottom of the sixth sealing the 7-3 win for the Lions. Pitcher Hollie Shane (26-3) recorded the loss for Trevecca with catcher Maria Trapani. The Trojans scored their three runs on nine hits with no errors. Freed scored their seven runs on eleven hits while committing two errors.

Diana Eckert batted 1-for-1 with a double and an RBI. Lindsey Howard batted 1-for-3 with two RBI and a walk.
