Paul Christianson has degrees from Northwest Nazarene University, the University of Idaho and the University of Georgia.  He was the State Winner of the Idaho Music Teachers Association Collegiate Artist Audition for piano in 1987.  In 1990, he won 2^nd place in the Pro-Mozart Society of Atlanta music competition and was the only non-faculty prize winner.  He received TNU’s Teaching Excellence Award in 2000
