Growing up across the river from downtown Cincinnati, the city skyline and urban soundtrack are the background of Alex’s childhood. Through the church in that city, he came to understand the power of relationship and the universal need for connection. Later on, given the ability to travel around the world, he saw firsthand the capacity for connection on a global scale and caught a glimpse of what it means to create a beautiful, living story while here on earth. Alex’s desire is to continue writing his story with vigor as he enters into the stories of others and helps them to do the same.

Alex graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Ohio with a B.A. in The Spanish Language in 2009 and minored in Intercultural Studies. He dabbled in the world of research for a time at Vanderbilt University and taught for a couple years at a private school in Smyrna, TN. He is a current graduate student in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Trevecca.

Living with his lovely wife in Nashville, Alex finds joy in coffee, reading, journaling, and creating environments for people to be together while grilling out and making really tasty food.
