Doug Lepter teaches communication studies courses spanning interpersonal communication, organizational communication, and media studies. An ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene, Dr. Lepter served nearly two decades in pastoral ministry before transitioning to higher Christian education. A past recipient of Trevecca’s Teaching Excellence Award and the MHR Department’s Excellence in Teaching Award, he has taught in both traditional and non-traditional degree programs. Dr. Lepter has a published chapter in the book Religion and Popular Culture by Stout and Buddenbaum. Hobbies center on reading and stamp collecting. He lives in Donelson with his wife, Samuella.
