Richard Leslie Parrott teaches research, leadership, and directs dissertations for the Doctorate of Education Program. He is also the director of CLEAR, the Center for Leadership Effectiveness and Renewal in the School of Education. Before coming to Trevecca, he was the director of the Doctor of Ministry Program at Ashland Theological Seminary. His writings includes Double Vision, Welcome to the Church of the Nazarene, When Pastors Pray, Personalities@Work, True and Best: Living Authentically, Better Answers to Tougher Questions, Essentials: The Proven Guide to Effective Leadership, and My Soul Purpose. Parrott was a minister in the Church of the Nazarene for 25 years before entering academics. He is a frequent speaker for both business and the church. He lives in Nashville with his wife, Shirley.
