Esse Quam Videri. "To Be Rather Than to Seem."
Following the hectic craze of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday is a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, charities, families, businesses, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give. We invite you to take this opportunity to give Trevecca students the power to be. On Tuesday, December 2, consider giving to the students of Trevecca and support student scholarships. With your gift, students are empowered to become the people they aspire to be. To give, click on the button below.
To hear the gratitude of students who are receiving the power to be already, read below for words of thanks to donors from just some of Trevecca’s scholarship recipients.

"I would not be graduating this year, were it not for the generosity which you, the donator/contributor of endowed scholarship funds, displayed. When first applying to colleges, my mother told me that I should probably begin looking to go to other universities. I responded, if I am to go to Trevecca, then God will open the door. And, here I am, in part to loving people like yourself. All of societies standards says that I should not be here, but you have made it possible. Thank you! Grace and peace!"

"I transferred to Trevecca the fall of my Junior year, and the way Trevecca has impacted my life is more than I had expected. Being able to talk about faith with my roommates, being fed multiple days a week because of chapel, and the smiles and graciousness that I encounter everywhere I go on this campus: I am so, so grateful for all of it. I am blessed to call Trevecca my home.
When I found out I was awarded endowed scholarships, I'm going to be honest and say that I cried because I was so, so grateful for people's generosity... My family struggles financially, especially this year as my dad was recently laid off his job. Because I am planning to continue on at Trevecca for my Master's in Counseling, every bit of generosity and scholarships along the way really, really do help. I am eternally grateful for the generous supporters of Trevecca. Thank you."
