The counseling degree is a 48-hour program which lead to licensure as a professional counselor (LPC).
The counseling psychology degree program is a 54-hour program, which is recommended for those who anticipate pursuing a doctoral degree in psychology. The counseling psychology degree can also be used to obtain a license as a professional counselor (LPC).
The marriage and family program is a 51-hour program which leads toward licensure as a martial and family therapist (LMFT).
Students pursuing the M.A. or the M.M.F.T. normally start with an assigned group or cycle of students. Two cycles start in the fall (a Saturday cycle and a cycle that meets one day out of the work week). In the spring a second Saturday cycle is formed. In the summer semester a second cycle that meets one day during the work week commences.
