Graduate Religion Program Application Process Trevecca Nazarene University admits students to the Graduate Religion Program who give evidence of ability and desire to pursue graduate study and who are committed to the enhancement of the Christian Ministry in any of its forms. Trevecca does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, handicap, national and ethnic origin, or denominational affiliation in administration of its educational policies, admissions or programs. Please mail your non-refundable $25.00 application fee by check or money order (made payable to Trevecca Nazarene University) to the address below. Do not send cash. Applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree from an institution that is accredited by a regional accrediting body. One official transcript from each college attended must be submitted to the Office of the Graduate Religion Program. Students who have attended Trevecca Nazarene University will not have to request the Trevecca transcript. To be admitted as a regular student, a student must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.7. If the student does not meet this requirement, the student may request conditional admission. Students entering the program are required to complete, with an acceptable score, one of the following: Miller’s Analogy Test (MAT) or the GRE. Each student must provide two letters of recommendation. These should be completed by supervisors, department heads, principals, or other qualified educators (preferably religion professors) who can attest to the applicant's aptitudes for graduate work. The Office of the Graduate Religion Program will review all credentials and will notify the student of acceptance or denial, based on recommendation of the Graduate Religion Program Advisory Committee. Following notification of acceptance into the Graduate Religion Program, all students must submit a class registration form each semester. This form will notify the department of the student's class preferences. Students who wish to obtain graduate credit beyond the master's degree may enroll as a special student. A transient student may provide a letter of good standing from another institution in lieu of the official transcripts. Applicants are required to submit an application and $25.00 non-refundable fee. Such admission does not serve as admission to the graduate program. A student who has earned graduate credit from other accredited institutions may transfer a maximum of 9 semester hours (with no less than a B grade) into an approved degree program. All transfer credit will be evaluated by the Office of the Graduate Religion Program. |
