Troy Trevecca helps with “Walk To School Day”   printer  

Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009—This morning Troy Trevecca, the mascot for Trevecca Nazarene University, led a group of students for “Walk to School Day” at Cole Elementary.

The event is part of a city-wide initiative sponsored by Metro Nashville Public Schools. Children at 65 Metro Schools began their day by walking to school, thus promoting physical activity and walking safety. Nashville’s “Walk to School Day” has been nationally recognized for its large participation numbers and health promotion aspects.
